We are pleased to have represented the Ecowas Commission and the European Union Delegation in Nigeria in a transnational Dispute Commenced by an Italian Consortium; Memetech SRL for alleged breach arising from a the Construction of the Joint Border Post between Lagos- Seme-krake CV/2314/2020 – before the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama Abuja, Nigeria. The Court acceded to our arguments and upheld the Arbitration Agreement as the agreed form of dispute resolution pursuant to Article 40(b) of the General Provision to the enabling Contract. Our Managing Partner; Michael Jonathan Numa Esq lead the team that advanced this argument before court in reaching its decision.
This is another testament to the fact that the Nigerian’s court supports arbitration process.
